Therapy & Counseling Services In Pass Christian, MS

Therapy Gulfport MS

The Therapy Process

After you contact us, we’ll be back in touch to answer questions, discuss your therapy options, financial information, and scheduling within 24 hours. After the initial conversation, you will receive our intake packet via email. We encourage you to complete this intake paperwork and return it prior to your first session. During the initial appointment, we will ask that the client or parents, when appropriate, meet with one of our clinicians to review developmental history and discuss the reasons for therapy, goals, and create a plan for ongoing sessions.

After the initial visit, the therapist will help the individual develop skills to navigate difficulties in school, at home, in personal relationships, with career/work plans and other future goals. Over the course of therapy sessions, we’ll work with clients to achieve their counseling goals.

Frequently Asked Questions About Counseling & Therapy Services

How long does the therapy process take?

Therapy typically occurs on a weekly basis and most of our clients generally report improvements within the first four to six sessions. However, the course of therapy depends on the problems being addressed and the motivation of the client to embrace the therapy process.

How involved are parents in therapy?

Parent involvement is a MUST for children and teens. Each child is unique and presents with his or her own strengths and weaknesses that parents know best. Therefore, we value parent/guardian input in the therapy process.
